It’s cuter coming from him.

Adam, age 3 1/2, has become the family mimic. He seems to latch onto patterns and rhythms rather well.  Now, I’m not saying he’s going to be a gifted musician or the next Eminem (heaven help us all). But this is what he said while I was wiping his newly potty-trained bottom the other day:

“It’s not complicated. AT&T!”

Now, tell me what kid would have that in their head? Especially considering that we hardly ever watch commercial television.  Of course, those are the ads with a table of kids answering questions, and we kinda love those. Who doesn’t love hilariously goofy kids?!

Speaking of goofy kids.  Last summer Adam would randomly start singing the Menard’s jingle, “Save big money at Menard’s”.

And a few weeks ago when he was “helping” the Handy Husband change outlet & switch plates in the basements.  Adam handed him one and exclaimed, “Behold! The Cover-nator!” That would be Dr. Doofenschmirtz’s catch-phrase from Phineas & Ferb.

What did/do your kids like to repeat? Other than your own scolding, that is…not that I would know anything about that.

  1. In answer to your question: anything she overhears that we wouldn’t want her to repeat. It always happens that way.

    • Ain’t that the truth? “Crap” doesn’t seem like such a big deal until it comes out of the mouth of your 4-year old. Or 8-year old.

  2. My personal favorites are the songs that Pato picks to sing to himself while playing. The most recent lyric is “Shout, loud, let it all out!” Apparently Tears for Fears is appealing to the 4 year crowd.

  3. We love your reference to Phineas and Ferb. That’s in our top three family favorites, along with Duck Dynasty and Big Bang Theory. :)

    • It’s my favorite non-educational cartoon! We really like Big Bang, but its time slot is too early – the kids are still up!
